Earning income by playing games is no longer a thing for a tiny elite!
In the last decades it was only possible to make a living from playing games for a selected few that invested uncountable hours into a single game to perfect their skills. The blockchain technology changes that and makes earning money from playing a game an option for everybody!
…and it´s not even necessary to invest countless hours into a game. The status quo up to this point in time of World of Warcraft pro gamers that practise 12 hours a day just to get one single strategy right is done for good. Games like Gods Unchained reduce the amount of time to play to a bare minimum, some even to a few hours a week.
Certainly, there are downsides too. We are very early, even in 2021, in the blockchain gaming development and to research well funded and well produced games is an exhausting task. Within every trend there are foul players you need to identify to not get caught with a games that issues a coin or a NFT that is practically worthless. Also fraud and scams, especially pump-and-dump schemes will pop up like crazy. You need to avoid them at all costs!
BUT, that what this course is good for. You will be able to seperate the good, the bad and the ugly and find your niche game where you can make profits simply by enjoying the game. I put a very reduced but highly effective checklist together you can use to evaluate new games and maybe find new hidden gems and be an early adopter which usually comes with additional benefits.
It doesn´t matter in what kind of games you are into. Be it a First person shooter, a role playing game, card collecting or go hunt the best times on a racing track. Even right now, the options are already there and I´m certain you´ll find something that catch your interest in one of the introduced games in this video series.
And the best is yet to come. Not speaking about games with insane trailers like “Star Atlas” but from the fact that this course will be extended for at least 3-4 more months with 10+ more games! Why? Because we are so early! You´ll hear me saying that plenty of times in the videos however, it needs to be understood that´s why I´m repeating that so often.
If you read that in early to mid 2022, see it as a document of the current point in time. the middle of november 2021. Plenty of games and projects as well as coins and NFTs will be out there and the big sorting of the wheat from the chaff might already caused it´s first victims. The big players and those who really work with their communities will prevail. A live changing effect is possible for all of us. We just need to take the ball and run with it.
And not forget, we are early. so bare in mind that some of the shown games are in their early phase as well. Some are even as early as in Alpha mode but where else is a better start than at the beginning right? Just think if you would have been an early investor in Microsoft or Amazon or in our case in Blizzard or EA? You get the point and now get going and play a game to make some money!

1Introduction
Hello and welcome!
Here you get a brief introduction about who is talking and what you can expect from the course. First will be a basic info section however, it will already cover many points that I build the second part upon. If you are totally new to blockchain, cryptos and NFTs, no problem. Even though I do NOT cover basics e. g. Metamask installation I got you covered. In almost every video you will find additional links that will help you get free information in case you need it. My intention was to show you the wonderful world of blockchain gaming and how it transforms a whole industry and how you can benefit from it.
The game specific videos in part 2 always follow the same structure including 2 checklists to research a possibly interesting game yourself in the future. One checklist will deal with the tokenomics the technical setup and pretty much everything around the game, while the second will feature the game itself. Keep in mind, the blockchain technology is developing fast and just as with the recent NFT hype, chances are high we will soon face a gaming hype. Some truths though:
Games are for free couldn´t be in 3 weeks ahead
Gamers with a low entry investment level could be expensive soon
Hypted projects will come and go and those will leave plenty of disappointed users behind who are sitting on worthless coins.
Actually, that´s not much different than with the common investment with coins and low cap projects. So as a reminder, never invest money you can´t afford to lose. Also nothing of this nor the following is financial advise. Always do your own research!
OK, as a quick overview:. First we will start with the basics, meaning
Global Market for games
Covering Blockchain, Crypto and NFT basics
How the blockchain changes the gaming game – 2x ways to earn – Coins and NFTs
Opensea basics - What are NFTs and why they are important
Why you should play to earn and why you shouldn´t
How to keep your eyes on things in development - Twitter and Discord – Twitter Fakecheck and community checkup
Difference between gaming platform coins and actual in game coins
The second big part will be the games, as already addressed, one video to each game for the playing aspect, and one for everything else surrounding the game respectively.
The final part is the outlook to the coming attractions and what I´ll cover next. But now, lets get started with the first videos about the status quo and what we can expect in the future. -
2The global gaming market and how early we are
To fully grasp the implications that come with the involvement of blockchain technology in the gaming industry we need to have closer look on how the situation is right at this very moment in time. I can already tell you, you´ll hear me saying "at this point in time" a lot simply because things change so fast, it´s impossible to make a course on that topic that is up to date for even a few years.
Please do not neglect the additional links I provided. The info there give you even better understanding about coming attractions and changes and prepares you to act accordingly to your risk profile and gaming preferences.
As a reminder, with common games you can make money just by investing an insane amount of time and energy into it. with crypto games you have 2! possibilities of income and that with far less energy.

3Why the blockchain is such a gamechanger
I already added the link to "Blockchain basics" in the first video but I added it here again. If you are new to that technology, please clicking the link and read that article first. It´s not necessary to understand and benefit from the course but you´ll see that everything I talk about becomes clearer and there are less misconceptions.
Details about NFTs, just as much as more links with additional info follow in the next video.

4NFTs: How you can make them profitable
NFT stands for "Non-fungible token" and describes a token that serves as an unique digital asset on the blockchain. You might wonder why token and not coin? That´s confusing! New technologies come with new terms, but to break it down:
Difference Coin vs. Token:
A coin is a unit on its native blockchain - like Bitcoin is on the Bitcoin blockchain - therefore Bitcoin Coin
A token is a unit on another blockchain - like the Axie Infinity token is build on top of the Ethereum blockchain
NFTs created a big hype, especially after the first sale of one single digital picture for over 60 million USD. Overs followed but they also attracted fraudsters that are just in for the quick buck. If you decide to invest in a NFT outside the gaming space, always do an in-depth research or you might end up with a nice picture that is totally yours but worth nothing and you have to keep it forever.
I added a few more links, not only with more details about the technology but also about sales and other topics that could be of interest to you.
IMPORTANT: You can check out all those provided websides without a Metamask wallet. That´s why I put the link to additional info about MM in the next video!

5Opensea.io - A deep dive
As you have seen in the previous video, Opensea is maybe the place to go to to buy and sell NFTs. As I show in the video, it´s crucial to have the right Blockchains in the wallet and take good care about the research opportunities the side provides.
In case you already own a NFT, you might want to check how rare it is and check other options outside of Opensea to get a better idea about your investment. For that purpose, I added the links to howrareis and Raritytools in the description below.

6Why you should play to earn and why you shouldn´t
You might wonder why you shouldn´t since it can bring you closer to financial freedom but wait, there is more. As I already mentioned a couple of times, we are early. That also means things can change and so are gaming structures which effect the earning mechanism as well.
I want to be brutally honest with you in this one and want to ask you if you want to seriously consider going all in on a game. It will need time and it will need effort. Nothing comes from nothing, not even in an idle game. Maybe even watch the video twice and think about what you really want and what your expectations are.

7Axie Infinity I
The game that started the whole crypto gaming hype. Axie Infinity could be described as a blend of Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Tamagotchi. You need to buy 3 Axies (the namegiving monsters) and let them fight in an arena against another team of 3. By doing that you earn SLP tokens you can eventually exchange for USD.
Keep in mind that even after that success and that many players making already plenty of money with it, the game is still in development. As for to have a better overview, I split all the additional links across both AI videos.

8Axie Infinity II
Check the links, everything you need to get started is there and especially the scholarship program is worth to get checked out
-
9Gods Unchained I
If you like Magic - The Gathering or Heartstone you will have it easy with that one. The game is build by a former team member of just mentioned Magic, and therefore everything is pretty similar. The main difference is definately the implementation of cards as NFTs build on top of the ImmutableX 2nd layer Ethereum chain.
As soon as the NFTs are "forged" you can sell them at the market and the chances are high you get at least 1-2 great cards within a month of maybe 1 hour a day of playing. That could summarize in a 30 hour month and a decent additional income.
They often host competitions where you can win $GODS tokens, so have a close look at their Blog for further info.

10Gods Unchained II
And we are in the game. Sometimes a duel can be over very quick for this or that player. It always has a certain amount of luck involved, that´s something you need to deal with and get over it. Sometimes you loose a supposedly weaker player just because the game doesn´t provide the right cards to counter the attack. However, a win rate of about 70% and more is just archieved by some very good players with the best cards. As an average player, 50% win rate is already pretty ok. Just in case you play and loose too often, or you are a sore looser as I am ;-)

11REVV Racing I
Something for the car racing fans, but the racing dynamics especially when it comes to breaking are horrible. But hey, that´s an Alpha version for you and I´m certain they will fix in the near future. Unfortunately I wasn´t able to record myself driving on Trackmania but I added a snippet from a famous TM youtuber. He has a truly entertaining way of presenting the game and is worth to get supported if you are interested in that kind of games.
As for REVV, keep in mind it´s on the Polygon Smartchain so you need to adjust your Metamask accordingly. I added a website with data to add Polygon to your MM below.
-
12REVV Racing II
I spared you out of watching me embarrass myself for too long but I think you get the point. The brakes don´t work correctly when you are stirring. However, I assume they fix that asap. The track is pretty much every time the same all the time and you need a few Polygon Matic tokens when you want to drive. You can get them very easily on Binance or Coinbase but you need to transfer the coins from the Ethereum Blockchain to the Polygon Smartchain. I provided you a link to a bridge below

13Sorare I
Sorare is a fantasy football/soccer manager game that is a direct competitor to FIFA Soccer. But why play FIFA and buy the whole game every year for a boatload of money when you can go to Sorare and play not only play a very similar game but also make some money with it?
They already collected an impressive list of pro sports partners so you could be ensured it´s truly keeping the FIFA developers up at night
-
14Sorare II
I intentionally stepped back from buying a package of cards, but if FIFA is your thing, you can give it a try. However, you can start for free and the cards you get and the beginner series they provide make fun as well.
-
15Space Misfits I
Shooting other people in space, but also mine minerals and sell gasoline to your fellow players and all of that by making some nice money. Space Misfits is a shooter but also a trading game where you need to find the right balance.
You´ll see how easy it is to get on the wrong track when researching a project. It happened to me in this video! However, the more you know the better, and if you know what you can preclude, it´s also something valuable. Maybe the biggest issue at the moment is, that you need to download the game and it´s not working just by logging in somewhere on the website and play online. Maybe that will change in the future.
-
16Space Misfits II
Gameplay and handling of the spaceship is easy, in contrary to the character but maybe it´s just me. I hope you enjoy me walking around the spaceship backwards half of the time and have a similar laugh about it as I had.
-
17Townstar I
So you like Farmville? Well, in that case I got good news for you! Townstar is the Blockchain cousin of Farmville with some extras and I do not mean only the NFT and coins stuff. The fact that it is the very first game on the Gala platform makes it truly special, since it is burden but also an honor to represent the platform as the very first release.
-
18Townstar II
This is a truly relaxing game to play and total opposite, a stark contrast to what we had up to this point. Relax, plant some crops, build your farm, raise some chicken and enjoy the rewards of your townspeople hard work by eventually selling your $TOWN tokens on the free market.
-
19Thetan Arena I
I´m certain you´ll have a good laugh about me playing that game in the next video. However, business as usual, the research part comes first. Fortunately we have a very clear setup right here and the design is amazing.
You can add your friends to gather a team of like minded soldiers and go out there and hunt another team in the arena. It´s a fantastic way to play online with friends together. There is not much that can be said about the gameplay, just try it out yourself.
-
20Thetan Arena II
Yeah, that´s me being bad at a game. ...but wait for the next. It gets worse...
-
21Mini Royale: Nations I
Our first First-Person-Shooter and it´s a pretty decent one. The gameplay is easy and the design flawless. It´s somehow like an extended minecraft version graphic design. The Village people are also there. ;-)
The developers team just secured a 21 million funding support which should make it possible to build the next iteration of the game. As it is right now it is already a pretty entertaining game you can easily play in a lunch break or when your boss is late out of a meeting and you have some spare time to waste. Certainly you also can gather some friends and play together as a team.
-
22Mini Royale: Nations II
As you´ll see, I´m exceptionally bad at this game as well but that shouldn´t keep you away from it if you enjoy that kind of games. I assume a more relaxed and careful approach to playing would have helped and would not have get me killed almost all the time.
If you are good at PUBG or Counterstrike I´´m certain you´ll have a lot of fun playing it

23Play to Earn - The website and some
Instead of one single game I thought it might be more interesting to show you a huge list of games and those could be found on Playtoearn.com. One word of caution though: As you see in the video, a lot of those games ask for your wallets address. Be careful and vigilant when you connect to a website. Always disconnect after playing the game and NEVER EVER, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, give away your wallets seed phrase! No matter who is asking and if the person is really nice and helpful or pretend to be an admin or a Metamask official. DO NOT DO IT! Better skip such a game and continue somewhere else
-
24Sandbox I
Not play to earn but at this stage more build for others to play and you earn. Just as similar to Decentraland you can go out and buy land and build things on it. Snoop Dogg already bought land, so did the creators of the walking dead and the Smurfs.
While competitor Decentraland is more focussed on the experience of a Metaverse, Sandbox is more directed towards the gaming space. You are able to buy LAND in both but it seems that SB has gained more momentum and has the more valuable brands building inside their ecosystem. Time will tell if Decentraland can strike back or if another competitor like Ultra or `Vulcan Forged come and take the lead.
Just in: Sandbox secured a funding round with the help of Softbank, one of the largest VCs out there. The amount raised: 93 Million USD!
-
25Sandbox II
Just me wandering around the metaverse that doesn´t exist yet. As soon as it´s online though, lets meet at Snoop Doggs mansion and have a great time together.
